Users can be assigned access to Database Console through Security Console for the Web. To assign Database Console access to a new user, follow these steps:
1. Open Security Console for the Web.
2. Select Users.
3. Select a user from the list on the left side of the screen. To search for a specific user, use the search bar at the top of the list.
4. Go to the Administrator Rights tab.
5. Select the Can Access Database Console checkbox.
6. Click Save.
Completing the steps above causes the Database Console option to appear in the Setup menu when the user logs into MRI Property Management. However, to have access to the databases within Database Console, the user must also be assigned a Security Console role that has either the WEBAPPLYCABINET additional access permission or has the Global Access checkbox selected.
To assign a user access to a database in Database Console, follow these steps:
1. In Security Console for the Web, go to Roles.
2. In the Database field, select the database for which you want to allow Database Console access.
Note
If you only have access to one database, it is selected by default.
3. In the left panel, select the role for which you want to specify additional access.
4. In the right panel, click the Additional Access tab.
5. If the Global Access check box is selected, this user has access to all additional access permissions, and so they already have access to Database Console. If it is not selected, use the filter fields in the header row of the Name column to search for the WEBAPPLYCABINET permission.
6. Select the check box in the Access column of the WEBAPPLYCABINET row.
7. Click Save.
